Ceri graduated from the Univeristy of Wales, Swansea, with a first class BSc Honours Degree in Environmental Biology. Following this, she worked at Wardell Armstrong plc, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, and most recently, the specialist ecological consultancy, EAD Ltd, where she was involved in all aspects of a range of projects, including residential, commercial and renewable energy developments, as well as BREEAM/CSH assessments and biodiversity studies.
Through her University course, employment and continuing professional development courses, Ceri has developed good habitat, botanical, amphibian, reptile and mammal identification skills and holds Natural England Great Crested Newt and Common Dormouse survey licences. She also has experience of carrying out wildlife conservation research, including biodiversity assessments, radio-tracking studies and impact monitoring and carryied out independent research into the impact of European Beavers on habitats at Escot Park, Devon.
Ceri has also worked for the wild plant charity Plantlife as Learning and Access Officer for the South West Project. This involved project management, coordinating volunteers and running events such as Minibeast Safaris, for all ages.
Ceri is a Member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) and a member of the Mammal Society and Devon Mammal Group. |
